Snooker English Open Last 16 Confirmed, Chinese Players Deliver Strong Performance

This morning, the Snooker English Open entered its third day of action, with the last 16 players eventually confirmed. Although the round was relatively steady overall, the competition remained intense, with six matches ending in 4-3 scorelines. Among the top 16 contenders, several players advanced while others were eliminated. World No. 10 Barry Hawkins won three consecutive frames after an early tie to defeat Danny Wells, while Ding Junhui beat He Guoqiang 4-2, showing signs of improved form.

The Chinese contingent moved forward together, including former top-16 players Wu Yize and Ding Junhui, last year's runner-up Zhou Yuelong, and three young players born in the 2000s: Yuan Sijun, Pang Junxu and Gong Chenzhi. Expectations are high for their performances in the upcoming matches.
