Star Billiards Academy Shangrao Training Center Inauguration Ceremony Held

On the afternoon of September 10, the awarding ceremony for the Star Billiards Academy Shangrao Training Center was held at Shangrao Billiards City. The successful ceremony marked the official establishment of the Star Billiards Academy Shangrao Training Center. Attendees included Wang Xinyue, deputy general manager of Beijing Star Great Sports Co., Ltd. and general manager of Jiangxi Star Sports Development Co., Ltd.; Xu Feng, chairman of Shangrao Billiards City; Xia Wei, general manager of Star Billiards Academy Training Centers; operations director Gao Kang; current national team coach Cai Jianzhong; and Star contracted player Yang Shaojie, known as the “Myanmar Billiards King.”

Since its establishment in 2021, Star Billiards Academy has built a professional athlete development system. Young champions and outstanding professional players in snooker and Chinese billiards, including Zhou Jinhao, Liu Linhao, Xing Zihao, Mi Jiaqi, Fan Linkai and Liu Jiapeng, have received training at the academy. These achievements demonstrate the academy’s capabilities in developing competitive billiards talent and its role in promoting the standardized and systematic growth of the sport. Recently, the academy launched a nationwide training center partnership program based on its systematic and scientific athlete training system, aiming to create both a pathway toward professional development and a training base for enthusiasts through specialized courses.

Gao Kang, operations director of Star Billiards Academy Training Centers, introduced the overall plans for course systems, coaching resources and operational support, while expressing expectations for the development of the Shangrao center. Xu Feng, chairman of Shangrao Billiards City, recognized the operating model in which billiards clubs provide training services while conducting business. They will use this ceremony as an opportunity to rely on Star’s systematic resources and develop Shangrao Billiards City into an important regional platform for billiards training and exchanges.

The teaching match brought the atmosphere at the event to a climax. Star contracted player Yang Shaojie, known as the “Myanmar Billiards King,” and current national team Chinese billiards coach Cai Jianzhong jointly guided students from Star Billiards Academy in a teaching match. The live session demonstrated the coaches’ extensive teaching experience and the players’ competitive experience, while allowing participating students to gain valuable practical experience.

Later, current national team coach Cai Jianzhong delivered a speech, sharing his professional growth experience and insights into billiards teaching and training. He encouraged students to maintain their passion, train diligently and continue improving on their billiards journey.

At the end of the event, attending guests took a group photo and the awarding ceremony concluded successfully. After the official establishment of the Star Billiards Academy Shangrao Training Center, it will rely on Star’s integrated system of brand, courses, coaching and operations to provide professional and systematic training services for billiards enthusiasts in Shangrao and surrounding areas, helping promote the sport and develop future talent.
