Reporter: Despite National Team Selection, Asue Should Be Available for Shenhua's Next AFC Champions League Two and CSL Matches

At 10 September Beijing time, Equatorial Guinea announced its latest squad, with Shenhua foreign player Luis Asue included.

According to reports, Asue's previous national team call-up came at the Africa Cup of Nations late last year, where he played in the first two group matches. After that, Asue joined Segunda Division side Leganes on loan during the winter transfer window and has not been selected for the national team again since.

At 0:00 on September 25 Beijing time, Equatorial Guinea will face DR Congo away from home, and at 0:00 on September 29 they will host Sierra Leone. The top two teams in the group will qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

Judging from the schedule, Asue should be able to join Shenhua for their home match against Singapore's Tampines Rovers on the evening of September 17 in the opening group game of the AFC Champions League Two, and it should not affect his availability for the home match against Yunnan Yukun in CSL Round 27 on October 10.

However, in the friendly match between Shanghai Shenhua and Russian Premier League giants Zenit at Jinshan Sports Center on the evening of September 27, Asue is expected to be unavailable.
