Among the 20 Premier League teams, 19 currently have someone wearing the number 9 shirt. But can you recognize all of them? This is not an easy question — because apart from your own team's number 9, the owners of the other 18 shirts may be much harder to match than you imagine.
The challenge comes from an interactive quiz launched by British media outlet planetfootball. Participants are required to name the players currently wearing the number 9 shirt at each Premier League club, covering 19 clubs in total. Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Everton are the only teams not included. With a 10-minute time limit and no clues provided, the difficulty is at its highest.

Why is the number 9 so difficult to identify?
In football, the number 9 is usually a symbol of a traditional center forward, but Premier League clubs do not use the number in the same way. At some clubs, the number 9 is an undisputed key player, while at others it may belong to a rotation player. Some teams do not even currently have a fixed holder of the shirt. These differences turn the task of "identifying all 19 number 9s" into a double test of fans' memory and attention to the league.
If you feel this challenge is not exciting enough, the organizers have also prepared an advanced version — identifying the all-time top scorers from each nationality in Premier League history, as well as the upcoming "number 10 shirt challenge". These quizzes are included in their newly launched Football Games section, which has already accumulated more than 1,000 football knowledge questions and supports full-screen gameplay.
