Official: Tottenham Announce Marmoush Loan Signing With Mandatory £60m Purchase Clause

On August 28 Beijing time, Tottenham officially announced that Manchester City forward Marmoush has joined the club on loan, with a mandatory purchase clause included. According to previous media reports, the total value of the loan-to-buy deal for Marmoush is £60 million.

Tottenham's official announcement stated: "We are delighted to announce that Egyptian international forward Omar Marmoush has joined us on loan for one season. Marmoush

has joined from Manchester City, with a mandatory purchase clause included in the contract for next summer."

Marmoush said: "It feels great to be here. I am very excited to join the team and cannot wait to meet the fans. Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in England and around the world, and this project is very attractive to me. I have spoken with the head coach, and I really like what he said. I believe our passion for the game will make our cooperation very enjoyable."

Marmoush joined Manchester City from Frankfurt in the 2025 winter transfer window for a fee of €75 million. Over one and a half seasons, he made 61 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City, recording 16 goals and 4 assists. He featured for City in this season's Community Shield, while he was an unused observer in the opening Premier League round.

According to media reports, Marmoush's move to Tottenham is structured as a loan with an obligation to buy after the season, with a transfer fee of £50 million fixed plus £10 million in add-ons.

Excluding Marmoush's transfer fee, which will be accounted for in next summer's transfer window, Tottenham have already spent €354.7 million this summer, bringing in major reinforcements including Tonali, M. Fee, Savinho, Van Hecke, Robertson, Senesi, and Dubravka. It has been described as a crazy summer.
