According to Football365, Perry Groves has suggested that Arteta should use Madueke as a left winger this season.

Arsenal sold two specialist left wingers, Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, during this summer's transfer window. Trossard joined Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas in July, with a total transfer fee of £17 million. Martinelli joined Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal from Premier League champions Arsenal for £60 million. Currently, Tzolis is the only specialist left winger in Arsenal's squad. However, Eze can also play on the left side of the attack.
Former Arsenal star Groves believes it should be Madueke, rather than Eze, who plays as the left winger. The England winger joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer of 2025, with an initial transfer fee of £48.5 million. Madueke is a left-footed player and has so far made 45 appearances for Arsenal, contributing 8 goals and 4 assists.
Groves said on the talkSPORT programme: “Everyone is saying we are a little short of options on the left side, and Eze can play there. I have a suggestion for you, and I’ll say it straight: why not put a left-footed player in the left-wing position, such as Madueke?”
