Since Ratcliffe took over the club, Manchester United have followed a strategy of strengthening one area of the squad each year. In the 2025 summer transfer window, United spent more than £220 million to completely rebuild their attacking line, successfully signing Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko. This year, the Red Devils then spent £150 million to sign Andre Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba, completing a midfield rebuild.
