According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli forward Højlund gave a lengthy interview in which he discussed his move to Napoli last summer and his relationship with Conte. The following are his relevant comments.

Højlund's comments
“I think it was a positive step,” Højlund said when discussing his move to Napoli. “I remember last year, I was in a very difficult situation at Manchester United. I also said that I felt they no longer wanted me to stay there. I had to evaluate my options, and Napoli was clearly the right decision. I had positive conversations with Conte and Manna; so far, this experience has been great.”
Højlund then denied having contact with AC Milan: “Did the Rossoneri want me? Actually, no. I spoke with the club and was also looking for opportunities. AC Milan obviously has a great history, but when I heard that Napoli wanted me and Conte called me, I had no hesitation.”
Finally, he also spoke about Conte: “The time I worked with Conte was wonderful. He helped me a lot in my game, helped me improve my ability to hold up the ball, and allowed me to continue growing. I hope I can keep improving.”
