Premier League Standings: Liverpool Drop to 11th After Two Consecutive Draws, Tottenham Bottom After Two Straight Defeats

On August 30 Beijing time, several matches were played in the second round of the 2025-26 Premier League season. The standings are as follows:

Manchester City currently lead the standings with six points. Hull City are also among the teams with two consecutive wins, after defeating Manchester United in the opening round.

The teams with four points from one win and one draw include Newcastle and Everton. Newcastle defeated big-spending Tottenham 2-0 away from home in this round.

The teams ranked from fifth to 10th in the standings still have a chance to reach six points, including Brighton, Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Ipswich Town and Leeds United.

Liverpool, with two consecutive draws, are currently only ranked 11th and have fallen into the lower half of the table.

At the other end of the table, Tottenham, who have suffered two consecutive defeats, have fallen to the bottom. They and Crystal Palace both have zero points and a goal difference of -5, but Crystal Palace have scored one goal and conceded six, leaving Tottenham at the bottom due to fewer goals scored.
