Japanese Media: Ritsu Doan Willing to Join Saudi Club on €9 Million Annual Salary, Move Could Affect National Team Status

According to Japanese media outlet Sports Hochi, Saudi Arabia has made a huge offer to sign Japan international Ritsu Doan, with reports stating that the two sides have reached a basic agreement. It is understood that Al-Ittihad have offered a transfer fee of €18 million (approximately 3.338 billion yen) and an annual salary of €9 million (approximately 1.67 billion yen).

Japan international midfielder Ritsu Doan (28), who plays for Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, could move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad. Saudi media reported that the club and player have reached a preliminary agreement, but German media reported that Frankfurt have not yet approved the transfer.

Doan joined Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and quickly became a key player for the team, making 31 league appearances and scoring five goals.
