Igor Jesus: I want to play in the Champions League in the future, but I don't know if it will happen at another club

According to ESPN, Nottingham Forest forward Igor Jesus hopes to play in the Champions League in the future, but he is unsure whether he can achieve this goal at Forest.

Jesus is entering his second season at Forest. Last season, he made 52 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 5 assists, including 7 goals during the club's Europa League campaign.

When interviewed by ESPN and asked whether he had already reached his best form, Jesus said: "I am very happy. It was my first season in Europe, and being able to play in the best league in the world, but I also believe I have always been improving and I still need to get better."

"I know this is not enough, and I also know how far I can go. I work hard every day, hoping to improve day by day, deliver better performances, and one day play in the Champions League and the Europa League."

"I don't know whether this will happen at Nottingham Forest, and I don't know whether it will happen at another club. This is also my goal."

The forward, who joined Forest from Botafogo last summer, emphasized that he remains happy with the club and with the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

Jesus said: "I am very happy, especially to compete in a league like the Premier League. That itself is a dream. The Premier League is highly competitive. You can not only improve your level on the pitch, but also grow off the pitch."

"I think this is one of the most important things. I am really happy and satisfied. I hope I can continue to work better here day by day and keep improving my level."

After Glasner took charge, Forest are still searching for their first Premier League win of the new season. Forest first lost 0-1 to Leeds United, before drawing 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.

Forest were also eliminated by Leeds United in the League Cup.

So far, Jesus has started all three competitive matches under Glasner. Despite the team's winless start, he has publicly backed the Austrian coach.

Jesus said: "I think we are on the right path. Now we have more time to train. The coach is doing a very good job, and I think as time goes on, we will develop better understanding, especially because he has only just arrived. I believe we will produce good performances with him."

Nottingham Forest's next match will be against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
