Veteran football manager Fabio Capello gave his professional assessment of Inter Milan's recent matches. In his view, Inter winger Diouf possesses outstanding ability on the flank, but the team has not fully taken advantage of his strengths. The limited investment in right-side attacks during matches has also reduced the team's attacking threat.

Diouf has excellent pace, dribbling ability, and sprinting power, making him a highly impactful player on Inter's right flank. In theory, he can use breakthroughs and crosses to tear open opponents' defenses and create shooting opportunities for teammates in central areas. However, in actual matches, the coaching staff's usage of him and the allocation of attacking resources have not fully unlocked his potential.
Capello pointed out that Inter's overall attacking focus has leaned more toward the left side, while the number of right-side attacks and tactical combinations has been limited. Diouf often finds himself isolated, lacking support from teammates and overlapping combinations, making it difficult for him to consistently create danger. Opponents can easily concentrate defensive resources on Inter's left side, significantly reducing their defensive pressure.
From Capello's tactical perspective, a strong team needs balance between both wings to create a multi-dimensional attack. If one side remains the main attacking route while the other becomes quiet for a long period, opponents' defensive plans become simpler. Diouf's individual talent is clear, and the team needs to create more tactical designs to get him the ball, provide him with space to accelerate, and turn his wing advantages into scoring opportunities.
Of course, tactical choices also have objective reasons. Inter's midfield rotations and formation changes can affect the distribution of resources on the wings. However, judging from match performances, a weak right-side attack makes opponents' defensive arrangements less pressured, while also further reducing attacking space in central areas.
This assessment also provides Inter's coaching staff with new ideas for adjustments. To make their attack more balanced, they need to reconsider how they use Diouf, increase tactical designs on the right side, and create coordination between both wings in order to maximize their attacking power.
