Official: Liverpool sign 18-year-old N'Guessan, joining in January, reportedly for €5 million

Liverpool have officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Saint-Etienne to sign French forward Killian N'Guessan. The player will officially join permanently in January and will spend time on loan at Brest until the end of the 2026-27 season. According to The Athletic, N'Guessan's transfer fee is €5 million.

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Saint-Etienne to sign N'Guessan, and the French forward will officially complete a permanent transfer in January.

The 18-year-old forward will join Ligue 1 side Brest on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season.

N'Guessan came through the Saint-Etienne academy, made his first-team debut in January 2025, and has so far made 13 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.

At international level, N'Guessan represented France at the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup, making seven appearances and helping the team finish fourth.

In addition, he scored four goals at the previous UEFA U17 European Championship and was named in the tournament's best XI.

Yesterday, Brest officially announced the loan signing of N'Guessan. According to reports, N'Guessan first joined Brest on loan from Saint-Etienne because Liverpool's available overseas loan slots have already been used, meaning he is not joining Brest on loan from Liverpool.
