Fabiani on Ratkov: If I said I was satisfied with his performances, I would be lying

Lazio had placed their hopes on signing Ratkov, but the investment did not produce the expected results. Lazio paid 13 million euros to sign him at the time, but after joining the club, the player never managed to leave much of an impression at Formello.

Speaking about Ratkov's performances, Lazio sporting director Fabiani was straightforward: "If I said I was satisfied, I would be lying."

Fabiani then revealed details of the transfer. He said several clubs were interested in Ratkov at the time, and Lazio eventually accepted the loan proposal put forward by Levante.

"Previously, several clubs were interested in him, and later we accepted Levante's offer. We have to respect the player's own choice."

According to details revealed by Fabiani, Ratkov's loan fee was 1 million euros, and the contract also included bonus clauses linked to goals scored. If he scores 12 goals, Lazio will receive another 1 million euros; if he eventually scores 15 goals and makes 20 appearances, the 14 million euro purchase clause in the contract will be activated.
