Former Barcelona goalkeeper Pinto updated his social media, revisiting Mourinho's famous 'Why?'. The former goalkeeper and current artist posted a video linking Mourinho's return to Real Madrid with the iconic expression from his time managing the club.

Pinto had previously turned the phrase into a song. Two months ago, the Catalan released the song 'Why?', inspired by Mourinho's famous press conference after Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final against Barcelona in April 2011.

Now, with Mourinho managing Real Madrid again, Pinto has reposted the song in response to the Portuguese coach's unique expression. Pinto's video focuses on the passage of time, recalling that Mourinho was already saying 'Why?' frequently in 2011 and noting that 15 years later, after returning to Real Madrid, the coach has started saying it again.

The post serves as both a tribute to that period and a way for the song, which was released two months ago, to receive renewed attention. Pinto did not release a new work this time, but used his song to respond to Mourinho's current situation.

The lyrics of 'Why?' start from Mourinho's phrase and are rewritten into an urban-style song, with references to matches, victories and rivalry.

The chorus repeatedly revolves around 'you will ask yourself why,' followed by the provocative response: 'Because I am stronger, okay, so what?'

The song also uses football as a metaphor for superiority. Pinto sings in it: 'I didn't steal yours, I just played better and took it from your feet.' Later, the song includes a more direct football expression: 'I won your star league.'

The connection between the two can be traced back to Mourinho's famous press conference in 2011. Years later, Pinto turned that phrase into creative inspiration and released 'Why?' as part of his artistic career.

After Mourinho returned to Real Madrid, Pinto once again shifted attention back to the song. By referencing the Portuguese coach repeating those famous 'Why?' remarks, he brought the song up again on social media, connecting Mourinho in 2011 with Mourinho returning to the Real Madrid coaching position in 2026.
