Casadó: I try to read as little media coverage as possible because many rumors are not true

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona midfielder Casadó joined Deportivo La Coruña on loan on the final day of the summer transfer window. After completing the move, he discussed the rather complicated transfer process and his goals for the new season at the club's presentation press conference.

Casadó said the transfer negotiations lasted for a long time this summer and were not settled until the very last moment. “This summer was a long one for me. Many things were resolved at the last moment. I try to read as little media coverage as possible because many rumors are not true,” he said.

In fact, Casadó has a previous connection with Deportivo La Coruña. Three years ago, when he was playing for Barcelona B, he had considered joining Deportivo, but Barcelona eventually gave him the opportunity to move into the first team. Later, he was deeply impressed by the team during a Primera Federación match against Deportivo La Coruña.

“After that match, I had a very deep impression of Deportivo. The stadium, the fans, and the match itself all left memories that I still remember. So when they gave me this opportunity this time, those memories also encouraged me to make this decision,” Casadó said.

Speaking about Barcelona, Casadó said the club “has given me everything so far,” but his focus has now turned to Deportivo La Coruña. He said he has already spoken with head coach Hidalgo and is willing to adapt to different styles of play according to the team's needs.

Regarding the new season, Casadó made it clear that Deportivo La Coruña's primary objective is to achieve survival. “We hope to help the club stay in La Liga for a long time. On that basis, we will rely on hard work, humility, and sacrifice to earn as many points as possible and strive for better results,” he said.
