In the first round of the Champions League league phase, Barcelona hosted Feyenoord. Yamal provided an assist in the first half, and at that point the 19-year-old had directly contributed to 21 goals in the Champions League, surpassing Mbappe to become the player with the most Champions League goal involvements before turning 20.
Yamal has now directly contributed to 21 goals in his Champions League career, including 11 goals and 10 assists, placing him alone at the top of the Champions League all-time youth player (under 20) goal involvement chart.
He therefore surpassed the previous record of 20 goal involvements set by Mbappe.
