The new stadium is expected to be worth €2.149 billion after completion in 2032. The two clubs estimate that, relying on the stadium, office areas, hotels and commercial spaces, the project could generate €418 million in future revenue and bring €265 million in capital appreciation.

These figures will help the two clubs move closer to Premier League and Bundesliga teams in terms of revenue, at least narrowing the gap accumulated over the past 20 years.

In recent months, the administrative procedures for the new San Siro project have accelerated significantly. The San Siro Stadium company, jointly established by Inter Milan and AC Milan, is responsible for advancing the relevant work. At the end of August, the two clubs submitted the final economic plan for the entire real estate complex to the Milan municipal government. The complex will no longer be owned by the municipal government in the future. The Italian tax authority estimates that the two clubs will need to pay €175 million to acquire this area. The two clubs are still advancing technical and administrative work.

Construction is planned to begin in 2027 and be completed in 2031, with the goal of opening the stadium before the 2032 European Championship. However, it is currently uncertain whether the new San Siro can be used for the event as scheduled. The project still needs to proceed according to plan, but it may face uncontrollable factors, foreseeable obstacles and numerous appeals during the process.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are preparing to announce the core details of the project and gradually reveal the plans for the new stadium. The exterior design of the new San Siro stadium is scheduled to be unveiled in October, before the early stages of future construction begin.
