According to TMW, Fofana attended a media meeting as a new Sevilla signing, with Sevilla set to cover 8% of his salary.

Fofana's salary will be the same as it was during his time at AC Milan. According to Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla will cover 8% of the French midfielder's wages. Fofana said: “I have adapted very well. We are at a great club, and our teammates welcomed us warmly. We have already integrated into the team, played a few minutes, and gained the trust of the staff.”
Fofana explained when the transfer was completed: “Everything was done in the final minutes of the transfer window, but when Sevilla contacted me, I immediately knew that I wanted to become part of this club.” He later added: “I put the people who truly wanted me first. I had already made my commitment, and the agreement was finalized within a few hours. People said that I could move to different teams, but after the situation in Lyon, I got the opportunity to come to Sevilla, and I am very happy about it. At that time, I could not have imagined anything better. Everything was perfect.”
Another comment from Fofana also caused dissatisfaction among AC Milan fans. He said: “I am now in one of the best places to live in Europe. The president is very easygoing, and not every club is like this. Everyone is involved in the life of the club, which will have a positive effect on our performances on the pitch. We must turn this stadium into a fortress, so that we can keep earning points at home and make the fans always eager to see their team. We must remain competitive in every match.”
