Crystal Palace Could Restart Odsonneis Transfer Talks in January

According to media reports, Crystal Palace are preparing to renew their interest in Club Brugge defender Jordi Odonis when the January winter transfer window opens. The summer move previously failed to go through due to concerns over the player's physical condition.

Medical concerns halted the deal

At the end of August, Crystal Palace were close to signing the Ecuador international. According to a well-known transfer insider, the player was found to have a metatarsal fracture. Considering he could face a lengthy absence, Crystal Palace ultimately decided to withdraw from the deal rather than invest a large amount of money in an injured player.

The only risk lies in competition. If Odonis makes a strong comeback, other clubs could enter the race, and Club Brugge may no longer be willing to negotiate at the original price of €30 million.
