According to Brazilian media outlet O Globo, Santos have finalized the signing of Flamengo forward Everton Cebolinha. The player will terminate his contract with Flamengo early, join Santos as a free agent, and sign a deal until the end of the current season.

The report states that Santos' management have convinced Cebolinha to accept the contract. Santos and Flamengo are currently exchanging relevant information in preparation for jointly announcing the deal.
Over the past few weeks, Cebolinha received offers from Russia. He had originally been more inclined to leave Brazilian football, which is why he previously rejected approaches from Botafogo and Vasco da Gama.
Santos' management were once pessimistic about completing the deal and believed that if Cebolinha chose to remain in Brazil, the most likely reason would be his connection with former club Gremio.
However, the situation later changed. Cebolinha was ultimately persuaded, with his conversations with Neymar and Gabriel playing a role. Over the past few days, the two players, together with Santos' management, attempted to convince Cebolinha to join Santos.
Meanwhile, Santos president Marcelo Teixeira and director Alexandre Mattos resolved the financial issues involved in the deal.
After reaching an agreement, Cebolinha will terminate his Flamengo contract, which was originally set to expire at the end of this year, early and join Santos with no transfer fee.
