Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has officially matched the club's long-standing record for consecutive league wins and entered the ranks of Roma's legendary coaches.

This winning run spans the end of the 2025-26 season and the start of the 2026-27 season. It includes a five-match winning streak to close last season, with victories over Bologna, Fiorentina, Parma, Lazio and Verona, followed by three straight wins at the start of the new season against Fiorentina, Lecce and Atalanta. The eight matches featured strong opponents, including the Rome derby, two meetings with Fiorentina, and major clashes against Bologna and Atalanta.

From a statistical perspective, Roma's dominant form during this period has been remarkable. They scored 13 goals and conceded only two in the final five league matches of last season, then scored 10 goals and conceded one in the opening three games of the new campaign. Across the eight matches, Roma scored 25 goals and conceded three, collected all 24 available points, and would sit top of the table if this stretch were considered a separate mini-league.

With this eight-game winning streak, Gasperini has become the third Roma manager to lead the team to eight consecutive Serie A victories.
