Neville: Manchester United Lack Communication, Final Goal Conceded Was Very Poor

The two players have clearly not forgotten the 28-year-old. Previously, during Rashford's loan spell at Barcelona, there were reports that he could make a permanent return to Camp Nou. Given the enthusiasm they showed at the time, they would likely welcome Rashford back. However, Rashford ultimately stayed at Old Trafford, hoping to revive his Manchester United career under Carrick.

Neville criticises Dorgu's mistake

Dorgu, who came on as a substitute for Rashford against Everton, was criticised by former Manchester United defender Neville. Neville believes Dorgu's rash pressing was one of the key reasons behind the team's late concession.

On The Gary Neville Podcast, the Sky Sports pundit analysed the final phase of the match that led to Maitland-Niles scoring the equaliser. He said: "That final goal conceded was very poor. Dorgu suddenly went out to press for some reason, creating an isolated press. Then Andre Santos did not provide cover behind him, but stayed back."

"The opponent simply passed the ball past Dorgu. It was a huge mistake, a major error by Dorgu, but it is also possible that Santos asked him to step forward and press. But in my view, this is a lack of communication."
