German Media: Liverpool Searching for New Sporting Director, Frankfurt Executive Krösche Among Candidates

According to German media outlet SPORT1, Liverpool are searching for a successor to sporting director Richard Hughes, and Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has also entered the list of candidates.

In the early hours of September 7 Beijing time, Al Hilal officially announced the appointment of Richard Hughes as the club's new sporting director.

During Hughes' tenure, Liverpool won the Premier League title and made major moves in the transfer market. Among them, the club signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for 125 million euros.

For Liverpool, the current task is to find Hughes' successor. According to SPORT1, Krösche is also among the candidates.

One potential advantage for Krösche is that his contract is reportedly believed to contain a release clause. Reports state that the clause is worth around 3 million to 4 million euros.

At present, Krösche's position at Frankfurt is not completely secure. After a disappointing previous season and a managerial change controversy, the Frankfurt executive has come under scrutiny.

Previously, Frankfurt's supervisory board decided at a regular meeting that no personnel changes would be made for the time being. However, Krösche's position is gradually coming under pressure.
