Paris FC midfielder Milou: Despite away win over Marseille, team still lacks finishing ability

Lees-Melou said in an interview with Ligue 1+ that although Paris FC defeated Marseille 3-2 away from home, the team’s ability to take chances was still insufficient.

On Sunday, Paris FC defeated Marseille away in the final match of Ligue 1’s third round, moving up to second place in the standings with the victory. Lassine Sinayoko scored a hat-trick, while Lees-Melou also played an important role in midfield.

Lees-Melou said in a Ligue 1+ interview in the dressing room: “To be honest, this victory was well deserved. We played quite well, but we were not good enough in finishing our attacks. We created many chances but failed to handle them properly. After it became 2-2, I felt that we lost control of the match for at least 15 minutes. The penalty at the end of the match helped us a lot, but overall we managed things well. Our goal is to do better than last year. We are trying to play with combinations and find each other while taking more risks. However, we must finish our attacks better and score more goals, although we will not be overly critical about this.”
