Sassuolo midfielder Lipani: I dream of returning to the Italy national team

Sassuolo midfielder Luca Lipani attended a press conference after the team's 2-2 draw with Bologna and said that he dreams of returning to the Italy national team.

Speaking about playing alongside Matic and several new midfield signings, Lipani said: "Matic does not need me to introduce him. He is a great player who can help you a lot, both in terms of mentality and on the pitch. The team has welcomed some new signings, and under the guidance of the head coach, we are gradually building understanding through training."

Speaking about his experience with the Italy national team, Lipani said: "Maybe I won't be able to return there, but I cannot set limits for myself. I dream of returning to the national team, and I will work hard for it."

Speaking about the areas where he still needs to improve, Lipani said: "There are many. I am 21 years old, and I need to improve both my ability in matches and my defending. I am working on this together with the head coach. In Italy, if you have a bad game, you are immediately written off, and if you play well, you are considered a talent. For players of this age group, outside evaluations often lack balance. I am calm myself, and I know the path of development I should take."
