Inter’s North Stand Displays Banner to Honor Nice Attack Victims

According to Foot Mercato, Inter fans paid tribute to the victims of the Nice attack on July 14, 2016, during Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Napoli.

Inter’s North Stand supporters displayed an Italian-language banner that read: “14/07/16: Inter fans have not forgotten the victims of this despicable attack.”

It was a powerful tribute. More than ten years have passed since the attack on the Promenade des Anglais, in which 86 people were killed.

The gesture was also linked to the historical relationship between some Inter supporters and Nice football club fans. The North Stand supporters and Nice’s South Stand supporters have maintained a long-standing friendship, with both sides publicly supporting each other on multiple occasions over the years.

During the match against Napoli, Inter fans once again publicly expressed their support for Nice and continued the remembrance of those who lost their lives on July 14, 2016.
