According to Romano, Lazio are close to finalizing the signing of free agent Diogo Leite to strengthen the defensive line under Gattuso. The club is preparing to complete the deal.
Born in 1999, Diogo Leite is a Portuguese left-footed center-back standing 192 cm tall. He came through Porto's youth system and later played for Braga and Union Berlin. He was called up to Portugal's youth national teams on multiple occasions and won the European Championship with Portugal U17 in 2016.
