In the early hours of September 5 Beijing time, Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce officially announced that the club has terminated its contract with 30-year-old Turkish center-back Caglar Soyuncu.

Fenerbahce's official statement: Soyuncu, who joined our squad midway through the 2023-24 season, has reached an agreement with us and the contract has been terminated. We wish Soyuncu success in the next stage of his professional career.
Soyuncu joined Fenerbahce from Atletico Madrid in January 2024 on a loan deal with a €2 million loan fee, before making the move permanent in July for a transfer fee of €8.5 million. Soyuncu made 75 appearances for Fenerbahce, scoring four goals and recording three assists.
Soyuncu previously played for teams including Freiburg, Leicester City and Atletico Madrid. He has made 61 appearances for the Turkey national team and participated in the 2021 European Championship and the 2026 World Cup.
According to reports, Soyuncu will join newly promoted Turkish Super Lig club Corum.
