According to Mundo Deportivo, based on Forbes' updated 2026 club valuation rankings, Barcelona has risen to second place among global football clubs with a valuation of $7.5 billion, behind only Real Madrid, which is valued at $9.5 billion. Meanwhile, Spotify Camp Nou is not yet fully operational, and the club still has room to further increase revenue and value once the stadium is completely finished.

Barcelona's Latest Forbes Valuation Reaches $7.5 Billion, Second Only to Real Madrid's $9.5 Billion

Barcelona will announce the specific revenue figures for the 2025-26 financial year on Monday, with the total expected to approach €1.1 billion, a club record and higher than the €994 million recorded in the 2024-25 financial year. In Forbes' latest 2026 football club valuation rankings, Barcelona is valued at $7.5 billion, rising from third place to second and surpassing Manchester United's valuation of $7.2 billion. Only Real Madrid, valued at $9.5 billion, ranks above Barcelona.

However, Forbes' assessment this time was based on data from the end of the 2024-25 financial year rather than the 2025-26 financial year. During the 2025-26 season, Spotify Camp Nou's available capacity increased from 45,401 seats from November 22, 2024, to 62,652 seats during the period from March 15 to May 17. May 17 was also the date of Barcelona's final match at Spotify Camp Nou during that season.

After Barcelona and Manchester United, Liverpool ranks fourth at $6.2 billion, followed by Paris Saint-Germain in fifth at $5.8 billion. Bayern Munich is sixth at $5.7 billion, Manchester City seventh at $5.5 billion, Arsenal eighth at $5.4 billion, Chelsea ninth at $4.2 billion, and Tottenham Hotspur tenth at $3 billion. The valuation gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid could still look significantly different in about a year and a half. By then, Spotify Camp Nou is expected to be fully completed, with a capacity of 104,600 seats.

After completing its renovation, the Santiago Bernabeu has operated at full capacity for two years and currently has 83,186 seats, while also allowing full development of its VIP areas.

For Barcelona, part of the double-level VIP area between the second and third tiers of Spotify Camp Nou will come into use this season. Once the entire stadium project is completed, it will have 9,400 VIP seats. These VIP areas will become an important source of continued revenue for the club and will also help further increase Barcelona's value in the eyes of Forbes and other investors.

Compared with the previous year, Barcelona's valuation has increased by 33%. A year ago, the team was still playing home matches at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuic.

Barcelona's current market valuation is $7.5 billion, higher than the $5.65 billion valuation in 2025. According to Forbes' breakdown of Barcelona's valuation, its commercial value is $3.012 billion, its television rights value is $1.682 billion, its ticketing and matchday-related revenue value is $1.454 billion, and the Barcelona brand itself is valued at $1.352 billion.

In the ranking of all sports clubs worldwide by value, Barcelona ranks 15th. The NFL's Dallas Cowboys rank first again with a valuation of $13 billion, the NBA's Golden State Warriors rank second at $11 billion, the NFL's Los Angeles Rams rank third at $10.5 billion, and the New York Giants rank fourth at $10.1 billion. The NBA's Los Angeles Lakers rank fifth at $10 billion, while the New York Knicks rank sixth at $9.75 billion. Real Madrid ranks seventh globally with a valuation of $9.5 billion and is also the most valuable football club in the world.
