Beijing Ducks register 16 players: Chen Yingjun signs two-year top-tier deal, Fang Shuo departs for Changsha Yongsheng

On August 28 Beijing time, the CBA official website announced that Beijing Ducks registered 16 players. Chen Yingjun turned down a high-paying offer from the Taiwan league and completed a two-year D-level maximum contract extension to stay with the team. Zhou Qi has two years remaining on his D-level maximum contract, Fan Ziming has one year remaining on his D-level maximum contract, Zhang Cairen signed a three-year C-level contract extension, and veteran Fang Shuo left the team to join NBL club Changsha Yongsheng.

The 16 players registered by Beijing Ducks are: Wang Zihao, Wang Kai, Zhang Penghui, Li Yonghan, Zhang Zhiyao, Zeng Fanbo, Sun Yahui, Jiang Wen, Zhang Cairen, Raymond, Fan Yiming, Chen Yingjun, Fan Ziming, Zhi Chuang, Zhai Xiaochuan, and Zhou Qi.

As the team's core domestic backcourt player, Chen Yingjun received a high-paying offer from the Taiwan league after his contract expired, but ultimately chose to remain with Beijing Ducks. He completed a two-year D-level maximum contract extension and will continue serving as the team's primary point guard in the new season.

Beijing Ducks have used all three of their maximum-contract slots, with the remaining two contracts being Zhou Qi's two-year D-level maximum contract and Fan Ziming's one-year D-level maximum contract. Beijing Ducks previously considered moving Fan Ziming, but ultimately decided to keep him, and Fan Ziming himself did not want to leave the team.

In addition, important rotation player Zhang Cairen completed a three-year C-level contract extension, while veteran Fang Shuo wanted to continue contributing. He chose to leave Beijing Ducks and join NBL club Changsha Yongsheng to help the team pursue a place in the CBA.
