Lakers rumors: Luka Doncic is in peak condition and is about to face a major test.
Luka Doncic’s condition has improved significantly, and he is about to begin a new chapter of his Lakers career as the team’s undisputed core player.

The Los Angeles Lakers are about to begin a new season and start a new chapter. After LeBron James left to join Philadelphia, Luka Doncic will take over the team’s responsibilities.
During this offseason, Doncic has put in tremendous effort, and he is now in the best condition of his career. As a result, expectations for him are extremely high.
Now, Martin Pavčnik from Slovenia’s SportsKlub will provide a deeper look into Doncic’s season preparations and the biggest challenge he will face.
He currently weighs 231 pounds (105 kilograms). In addition, Doncic’s training methods in Ljubljana, Slovenia, are different from previous years. He has continued working with his longtime coach Anže Maček. He is no longer doing full-court competitive training, instead working on a smaller court and spending more time in the pool. He also did not join the training sessions of Slovenia’s national team club Ilirija.
“Therefore, unlike previous years, he did not participate in Ilirija’s training at Tivoli; instead, he and his assistants mainly trained in a small gym inside the new swimming pool complex,” Pavčnik wrote.
The season is approaching, and it will be a true test of Doncic’s determination.
“However, the next few weeks and months will truly test the foundation they have built,” Pavčnik wrote. Doncic — who is increasingly relying on agent Lara Beth to manage his life — is expected to remain in Europe until September 20 before heading to Los Angeles.
Doncic has been working to build connections with the Lakers’ new roster. Recently, he led the team to Slovenia to improve team chemistry.
The question is whether he can lead by example and inspire his teammates to follow.
