Guangzhou Loong Lions defeat US Ohio professional basketball team

Qingyuan, Sept. 5 (CNS) — According to a post by the Guangzhou Loong Lions Basketball Club's official WeChat account on the evening of Sept. 4, the 2026 China-US Basketball Challenge (the "event") was held in Qingyuan on the evening of Sept. 4, with the Guangzhou Loong Lions ("Guangzhou team") defeating the US Ohio professional basketball team 88-78.

In this game, the Guangzhou team displayed good teamwork on both offense and defense. On offense, the whole team actively shared the ball, recording 15 assists and contributions from multiple players, with Chen Guohao, Liu Yancheng and Wan Mengfei all scoring in double figures. On defense, the team continued to strengthen physical contests and rebounding efforts, grabbing 27 rebounds in total and limiting the opponent's offense through an active defensive approach.

In the game, Chen Guohao scored 13 points with 3 rebounds, Liu Yancheng scored 12 points, and Wan Mengfei scored 11 points with 2 rebounds. (End)
