Sept. 11 - According to U.S. media outlet ClutchPoints, Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki recently discussed his communication with team president Masai Ujiri and revealed that the two sides have already talked about the possibility of him becoming involved in team affairs in the future.
Nowitzki said: “Everyone knows that I kept some distance from the team for a period of time because some things happened that I did not agree with. But I have known Masai for many years, and we have had some discussions about what could happen in the future. He obviously wants me to be a part of the Mavericks.”
Nowitzki also said that nothing is expected to happen in the near future, as he still needs to balance his broadcasting work with Amazon and his responsibilities with FIBA. However, he said he will always be a member of the Mavericks, hopes to be more involved with the team in the future, and may offer his opinions at some point.
