Ge Zhaobao also showed his ability by completing a 2+1 play. Afterwards, Zhu Mingzhen and Qin Zilong scored in succession, while Zhao Haoran and Xie Zhijie's layups further strengthened Shandong's advantage. At the end of the first quarter, Shandong led 29-22.

In the second quarter, the two teams remained locked in a close contest. Shandong's three-point shooting continued to be strong, and they extended their lead to 39-30 midway through the quarter. Xie Zhijie hit another three-pointer, Liu Chuanxing scored with a dunk, and Tao Hanlin added points through free throws. Yuan Shuai's three-pointer and Chen Peidong's layup both went in, while Ge Zhaobao scored again later through free throws after drawing a foul. After a tough battle, Shandong maintained a 48-40 lead at halftime.

Entering the third quarter, Wang Lanqin scored with a layup to open the period, and Wei Liangzhe made both free throws to add points for the team. In the following offensive exchanges, Chen Linjian and Wang Zheng scored with floaters, while Ge Zhaobao also performed well with his mid-range shooting. The pace remained fast, and Qin Zilong and Zhu Mingzhen repeatedly hit three-pointers, highlighting Shandong's flexible teamwork. However, Zhang Ning's consecutive scoring runs eventually helped Shanxi take the lead.

In the fourth quarter, Chen Peidong responded with a driving layup, and Li Zhengle's steal and assist further extended the advantage. Shandong established the foundation for victory with an 8-0 scoring run at the start of the quarter. Wei Liangzhe and Liu Chuanxing's strong performances helped Shandong continue to increase their advantage. In the final moments, Wang Lanqin and Chen Peidong scored together again to secure the win. In the end, Shandong defeated Shanxi 86-80 and took third place.
