Guangdong Southern Tigers officially announced that the team has completed the signing of Croatian import Luka Bozic. After the CBA company's registration review and announcement procedures are completed, the top European all-around forward will officially wear the Guangdong jersey and compete in the new CBA season, adding key strength for the Southern Tigers' pursuit of strong results.
The 30-year-old Bozic is 200cm tall and mainly plays as a forward, with a highly versatile and adaptable style. Unlike single-role imports, he combines low-post scoring, high-post playmaking, rebounding protection and off-ball movement. He has maintained stable and efficient finishing ability, uses physicality and changes of pace to enrich a team's offensive system, and can also contribute to organization and connection, fitting perfectly with Hongyuan's balanced tactical approach while filling a weakness in the team's forward rotation.

Bozic has an impressive European professional resume and has been a dominant force in European leagues. During his time competing in the Adriatic League, he delivered dominant performances and won the regular-season MVP award for two consecutive years. In the 2022-23 season, he averaged 21.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game, earning the MVP award, rebounding title and All-League honors, while leading his team to the league championship and winning Finals MVP. In the 2023-24 season, he continued his outstanding form, averaging 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game, retaining the regular-season MVP and scoring titles and leading his team to a double championship achievement.
After moving to the Spanish league, Bozic continued to maintain a top level. Last season with Granada, he played 29.1 minutes per game and recorded 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals, with his individual efficiency rating ranking first in the Spanish league. His rebounding and scoring numbers ranked among the league leaders, and he was selected to the season's best lineup. At the national team level, he has progressed through Croatia's various youth levels and is currently a key member of the senior national team, with highly impressive shooting percentages in World Cup qualifiers and strong consistency on both ends of the court.
This will be the first time in Bozic's career that he competes in the CBA, bringing elite European game vision and strong physicality. For Guangdong Southern Tigers, who urgently need to improve their forward depth, the arrival of this all-around import carries significant importance. In the new season, he will use his solid skills and extensive big-game experience to help the team improve its rotation system, raise its ceiling on offense and defense, and become a key new force in the Southern Tigers' pursuit of better results.
