Gallinari on injuries: I might be the biggest 'What If' player in NBA history

Sept. 9 news: Today, Gallinari spoke in an interview with HoopsHype about his career, saying that because of injuries, his life has been filled with too many 'what ifs.' He even jokingly said that he 'might be the biggest What If player in NBA history.'

Gallinari noted that he underwent back surgery during his rookie season and later suffered two anterior cruciate ligament tears. He believes he may never have truly experienced a complete prime because whenever he approached his best form, injuries interrupted his development.

He specifically mentioned that both ACL injuries occurred while he was on championship-contending teams, one with the Denver Nuggets and one with the Boston Celtics, and these remain the two moments he has found the hardest to let go of.
