I kind of lost myself. Now, I’m finding my true self again.”

Megan said she cannot accept disrespect from a partner and stressed that loyalty is a “non-negotiable” boundary in a romantic relationship. TMZ viewed the remarks as again suggesting that infidelity was involved in her previous breakup with Thompson. However, in the interview, Megan was discussing her own expectations regarding loyalty and romantic relationships and did not directly accuse Thompson of cheating in the quoted remarks. She also said she wants a partner who can genuinely share responsibilities equally with her, rather than someone she constantly has to support.

Thompson was playing for the Dallas Mavericks during his relationship with Megan, and their relationship subsequently ended. Megan said that experiencing infidelity from a partner does not mean the betrayed person lacks attractiveness or importance, and that responsibility should lie with the person who committed the infidelity. Thompson has now left the Mavericks and joined the Miami Heat.
