Sept. 4 — According to Yahoo Sports, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton will travel to Chicago's Wrigley Field to throw the ceremonial first pitch before the Cubs' home game against the Brewers.

Haliburton previously revealed that both the Dodgers and Cubs had invited him to serve as a first-pitch guest, and he ultimately chose the Cubs. Haliburton said: "Both teams invited me, so I had to pick one. The Cubs felt more fitting." Haliburton was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and was previously a Brewers fan.

Haliburton previously said the Brewers had invited him to throw a first pitch, but later withdrew the invitation after the Pacers eliminated the Bucks in the playoffs. He said at the time: "I used to be a Brewers fan, but they later canceled my first-pitch arrangement, so I said, okay, I'm no longer a Brewers fan." After that, Haliburton described his baseball team allegiance as being a "free agent."
