Torre Shares Leonard's Signed Aspiration Agreement, Raising Questions Over Whether He Was Unaware of Salary Cap Circumvention

Sep. 3 News: Today, investigative reporter Torre shared a contract signature page. It shows that Kawhi Leonard personally signed an agreement with Aspiration Partners Inc. on April 4, 2022, in the capacity of “Managing Member” of KL2 ASPIRE LLC; Aspiration CEO Andrei Cherny signed on April 5.

More importantly, Leonard also separately signed an “INDUCEMENT” provision below. It states that he confirmed he had “read this agreement,” agreed that KL2 ASPIRE LLC would enter into the agreement, and agreed to provide all necessary services and grant related rights to ensure KL2 ASPIRE LLC fulfilled its contractual obligations.

Therefore, the document at least shows that Leonard was aware of and personally confirmed the Aspiration endorsement agreement and its terms, rather than it being entirely handled independently behind the scenes by Dennis Robertson.
