Two-Time European League MVP! Guangdong Men's Basketball's First Foreign Player Target Emerges, Announcement Expected Within 24 Hours

Although Spanish media reported in May that Baskonia were interested in him, Luka Bozic became a free agent after the end of his season with Granada.

The destination of this two-time ABA League MVP had remained uncertain for a long time. According to sources from Croatia, he is only awaiting the completion of procedural steps before signing with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.

This will be the first time in Luka Bozic's career that he plays in Asia. He will compete in China's CBA League as one of Guangdong's foreign players; the team was recently taken over by Serbian coach Yakovlevic.

Statistically, although Granada finished at the bottom of the league standings, the Croatian international deservedly made the 20-player shortlist for the Liga Endesa MVP award. He averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while providing more than 3 assists and 1 steal per game.

Bozic previously played for Bjelovar, Pula, Zagreb, Zadar (where he enjoyed the most outstanding period of his career), Buducnost, and Siroki. He then spent two seasons in Spain, playing for Lleida and Granada.
