In the China Basketball Association Future Cup, 16-year-old Chinese national team prospect Zhang Yuchen became the standout player. It is worth noting that China U18 shot just 2-for-21 from three in that game, and both made three-pointers came from Zhang.

From this series of games, foreign coaches appear to have more confidence in Zhang Yuchen and are more willing to use him. Even when Zhang struggled through the first three quarters, they still relied on him in the fourth quarter. In comparison, Zhang did not receive the same treatment with China U18. When he played at the U18 Asian Championship, he was the team's third point guard.

However, Zhang Yuchen once again proved that he excels in fourth-quarter situations. In this year's high school national championship final, Zhang scored five straight points at a crucial moment to help Tsinghua High School win the title, and he was named the final MVP as a first-year high school student. Zhang Yuchen is only 16 years old.
