CBA Summer League: Liaoning defeated Guangsha 80-72. Liaoning fell behind after a poor first quarter, came back to take the lead in the second and third quarters, and after being tied by the opponent in the final quarter, was still able to regain control and eventually secured the victory.

Three players had excellent performances in the game. Duan Ruiqi has become a necessary part of the team because his ball-handling is extremely important to the whole squad and can help stabilize the pace. When the opponent stayed close, Duan Ruiqi also hit two consecutive three-pointers to influence the game. Fu Hao remains a key foundation for Liaoning, able to score when receiving the ball and also protect rebounds. He finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds, providing steady production. Zhang Chenzhifeng has recently been able to stabilize the interior. Although his physical confrontation remains a weakness, he can make blocks at crucial moments, has good efficiency, and contributes well on the boards, finishing with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

Li Huyi, Jiang Yuxing, Wu Changze, and Fu Yuanxu all delivered acceptable performances. Li Huyi can now handle offensive possessions, which is certainly a positive sign. Although his shooting efficiency dropped at key moments, he went 5-for-13 and scored 17 points overall, which was already a very complete contribution. Jiang Yuxing also performed very well, going 3-for-6 for 11 points and maintaining steady output. If he can reduce some of his drive-and-pass decisions, his scoring output would not be a problem.

Wu Changze was still able to score consecutively at key moments to help the team secure the game. Wu Changze's form has had no major issues in these two games, as he went 4-for-7 for 9 points and 5 rebounds. Hopefully he can maintain this level. Fu Yuanxu also showed his value, with high efficiency, no need to dominate possessions, and strong defense; he may have earned a pass without further evaluation.
Dai Yanlong and Xing Weihao both had underwhelming performances. Xing Weihao was still too passive in his play, which led to missed shots and many turnovers. Dai Yanlong also struggled, with disadvantages in physical confrontation and experience, and his plus-minus was the worst on the team.
