China's men's basketball team defeated Qatar and Lebanon on August 27 and 31, respectively. Although the two victories added some points for China, its ranking remained unchanged. In the Asian men's basketball rankings, China is fifth, with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Iran occupying the top four positions respectively.
